Yankees manager Joe Torre remembers feeling dazed when he was diagnosed with prostate cancer last year. But his wife, Ali, took the situation in hand. On Monday, the Torres helped launch "Two Against One: Couples Battling Prostate Cancer," a multimedia support and education program that was billed as "a spouse's guide to coping with prostate cancer."

"The spouse plays such a major role in this fight against prostate cancer," Torre said in a telephone interview. "Once I got diagnosed, I kind of blanked out mentally and my wife, Ali, really kept a level head and put us on the road to start fighting against this disease."
