Serra (3-0) reveled in its home opener, rolling to its third straight win to open the season against Alameda (1-3-1). Four different Padres scored in the contest, David Bandera, Stephan Stadnyk, Alden Tang and Jordan Perez. Serra has now outscored its three opponents by a combined 15-3.
Newark 1, Menlo-Atherton 0
Senior forward Juan Valdovinos scored the game’s lone goal to lead undefeated Newark Memorial (4-0) to a home win over Menlo-Atherton (2-3). After winning back-to-back games to start the year, the Bears have now dropped three straight.

Half Moon Bay (3-2-1) fell 4-1 in non-league play at Soledad (2-1-1).
Hillsdale (3-1-1) earned a 3-0 win in the Silicon Valley Cup at Santa Clara High School against Willow Glen-San Jose (1-2-1).
Nueva School (1-5) dropped its fifth straight 4-0 to Monte Vista Christian-Watsonville (2-2-1) in the Silicon Valley Cup.
Crystal (2-0-1) earned a 2-0 win over Piedmont Hills-San Jose (3-2-1) in the Silicon Valley Cup.

El Camino (2-5) dropped its fourth straight 8-1 at home against Lincoln-SF (2-2).
Burlingame (2-3-1) allowed a first-half goal and fell 1-0 to Christopher-Gilroy (2-2) in tournament play.
Mills (3-6) dropped a tough one 4-3 in tournament play to Silver Creek-San Jose (2-1) at Santa Teresa High School.
Sequoia (1-2-2) fell 4-1 on its home field to Las Lomas (3-1). Since winning their season opener, the Ravens have gone 0-2-2.
Hillsdale (1-3-2) fell in tournament play 2-1 to Leigh-San Jose (2-2-1).
