Carlmont 7, Aragon 6
The Scots scored a run in the bottom of the seventh inning to walk off with a PAL Bay Division win over the Dons.
Carlmont (5-1 PAL Bay, 8-8 overall) took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the third, but Aragon (4-2, 9-4) took a 3-2 lead with three in the top of the fifth. The Scots tied it in the bottom of the inning before both teams scored three in the sixth.
Megan Grant hit her eighth homer of the season for the Dons as she and Olivia DiNardo, both freshmen, both drove in three runs.
Hillsdale 1, San Mateo 0, 9 innings
The Bearcats were involved in yet another extra-inning game, but it was the Knights who pulled out the win with a walk-off, winning run in the bottom the ninth.
San Mateo (4-2 PAL Bay, 7-3 overall) was held to just two hits — Isabelle Borges and Bethany Shih each singled for the Bearcats.
Hillsdale improves to 4-3 in division play and 8-5 overall.
South City 1, Capuchino 0
The Warriors scored an unearned run in the top of the fourth inning to beat the Mustangs in a non-league game.
Karizma Bergesen, Hailey Meisenbach and Alanah Torres all singled and accounted for the only hits for South City (10-7 overall).
Meisenbach picked up the win in the pitcher’s circle, scattering eight hits while tossing a complete game.
Capuchino (5-11) amassed eight hits, led by Julianna Ceron, who had three.
Baseball
Aragon 5, San Mateo 1
The Dons extended their league in the Ocean Division to two games with the win over the crosstown Bearcats.
Aragon (6-1 PAL Ocean, 13-3 overall) won its ninth straight game. The Dons took a quick 1-0 lead with a run in the bottom of the first and took complete control with a three-run fourth.
San Mateo (4-3, 10-6) managed only two hits for the game, with Jorge Chavarin driving in the Bearcats’ only run.
Sequoia 13, Mills 2
The Cherokees won their second PAL Ocean Division game in their last three games by blasting the Vikings.
Sequoia (2-4 PAL Ocean, 5-10 overall) scored two in the top of the first, added six in the fifth and capped the game with five more in the top of the seventh.
Ben Singler and JP Boyle each drove in a pair of runs for Sequoia, which finished the game with 12 hits.
That was more than enough offense for Cherokees’ starting pitcher Kai Holm, who worked the first four innings, allowing two runs on three hits.
Mills (0-7, 1-14) are still in search of its first division win.
Boys’ golf
San Mateo 266, Terra Nova 281
Sean Lin shot a 48 to lead the Bearcats to a second-place finish in the PAL Ocean Division standings.
Eddie Sun followed with a 51 for San Mateo (10-2 PAL Ocean) at Sharp Park in Pacifica.
Terra Nova’s Oscar Gutierrez shot the low round of the day, finishing with a 44.
College softball
San Mateo 10, Foothill 1
Emily McAdams had another strong outing as the Bulldogs’ offense bludgeoned the Owls in a game that was called after five innings because of the eight-run mercy rule in a Coast North Conference game.

McAdams improved to 25-1 in the pitcher’s circle, allowing one run on five hits, striking out four and walking two. She even helped herself out at the plate by driving in two runs and scoring twice while going 2 for 2.
Offensively, Aubrie Businger, Kait Grech and Amanda Ubois-Weitenhagen, her 11th of the season, which is tied for third in the state. Ally Sarabia, Businger and Grech all drove in two runs.
The Bulldogs knocked Foothill starting pitcher Mailey McLemore out in the second inning as she allowed seven runs (six earned) on five hits.
Offensively, McLemore, who is second in the state in batting average at .565 and first in RBIs with 60, had a quiet day, going 1 for 3.
CSM (12-0 conference, 35-2 overall) won its 35th game in row and it was the 19th win by mercy rule for the Bulldogs. They have two games left in the regular season: at Chabot-Hayward Thursday and at Ohlone-Fremont April 23. First pitch for both games in 3 p.m.
College baseball
San Mateo 9, Chabot 5
The Bulldogs used a four-run third to spur them on to a Coast Golden Gate Conference win over the Gladiators.
The win keeps CSM (12-4, 23-11) in a first-place tie with Mission atop the conference standings.
Justin Torres had a big day at the plate for San Mateo, going 2 for 5, with a home run, triple, four RBIs and two runs scored. Anthony Flores and Cole Gabrielson each drove in a pair of runs for CSM.
Brett Karalius, making his first start since last week’s no-hitter, had another strong outing in just his second start on the mound. The sophomore worked seven innings, allowing one run on four hits.
MONDAY
Baseball
Carlmont 4, Hillsdale 3
It took two weeks and nine innings for the Scots to complete the season sweep of the Knight in the completion of a game halted by darkness March 29th, following a near-hour rain delay.
With the score tied at 3-all and two outs in the top of the ninth, Adam Cross singled for Carlmont (5-3 PAL Bay, 10-8 overall), followed by a Ben Fong walk. David Bedrosian came up and smacked a single to center to drive in Cross with the go-ahead run.
Bedrosian then took the mound to finish 7 1/3 innings of relief work in earning the win.
Softball
Mills 24, Terra Nova 1
The Vikings continue to roll in PAL Ocean Division play.
Despite a four-inning, 15-run, mercy-rule shortened game, freshman catcher Ione Thompson hit for the cycle in a 4 for 5 day at the plate, driving in six runs.
Thompson opened with a home run during a two-run first. She followed with a triple, double and a single.
Mills added three more runs in the second before scoring nine in the third and 10 in the fourth.
Her four hits led a 24-hit attack for Mills (5-0 PAL Ocean, 8-2 overall). Hannah Kwong also went 4 for 5 with four RBIs. Olivia Williams, Sammi Yeung, Emma McGraw and Taylor Whitney all drove in a pair for the Vikings.
Sofia Mosqueda stayed unbeaten in the pitcher’s circle this season, improving to 4-0 in league play and 7-0 overall. She allowed one run on three hits.
Terra Nova falls to 1-2 in Ocean play and 2-6 overall.
Boys’ golf
M-A wins Mustang Invitational
The Bears went 1-2in capturing the championship of the Mustang Invitational at Marin Country Club.
Junior Max Reyes firing a 3-under 69 to win the tournament, with senior teammate Jonathan Dicks shooting a 1-over 72 to finish runnerup.
Andre Wilkins finished with a 79 for M-A, while Joji Morikawa came in with an 80 and Robbie Jones an 82.
Half Moon Bay 246, Mills 314
The Cougars moved one step away from completing a perfect season as they beat the Vikings in a PAL Ocean Division match.
Sean Pyle earned low-medalist honors, finishing with a 45.
