The Gators cruised past the Panthers in a WBAL match.
Ellie Noto, Grace Johnson and Kat Showalter each scored hat tricks for SHP (8-0 WBAL, 9-3 overall).
Allison Carter and Gibbons each notched three assists each as well.
College softball
San Mateo 8, Diablo Valley 0
Kait Grech drove in a pair of runs to lead the Bulldogs to their 27th straight win.
Emily McAdams notched her 24th win, working the first two innings, allowing one hit. Three relievers then combined to limit DVC to one more hit the rest of the way.
THURSDAY
Baseball
Woodside 28, Sequoia 10
The Wildcats erupted for 15 runs in the second inning, before adding four in the third and nine in the sixth to crush the Cherokees in a PAL Ocean Division game.
Owen Krevelt had the big hit for Woodside (3-3 PAL Ocean, 7-6 overall) blasting a second-inning grand slam and went on to finish with seven RBIs. Max Moreno added four RBIs, while Joseph King, who is a Washington State commit, drove in three runs of his own.
Sequoia (1-4, 4-10) was led by Kai Holm and Adam Trujillo, who each drove in a pair of runs.
Half Moon Bay 21, Mills 4
The Cougars scored 21 runs on 23 hits to top the Vikings in a PAL Ocean Division game.
Casildo Guevara had a five-hit game for HMB (5-3 PAL Ocean, 13-4 overall), with four doubles and a RBI. Jack Mettam added four hits and drove in a team-high three runs. Danny Guevara added four hits and a pair of RBIs for the Cougars. Preston McAuley added two RBIs as well for HMB.
Girls’ swimming
San Mateo 106, Aragon 63
The Bearcats buried the rival Dons, coming up with eight first-place finishes.
Emma Lepisova continues to have a strong season for San Mateo, as she took two individual races (the 200 IM and 100 free) and also swam a leg on two of the three winning relay teams (200 medley, 200 free).
Cecilia Quan was a three-time winner for San Mateo, taking the 100 fly and also swimming a leg on the 200 medley and 200 free relays.

The Gators scored 10 first-half goals to cruise past the Monarchs in a WCAL match.
Tommy Barnds lit up Mitty with five goals. Larry Hart, Patrick Hagerty, Joe Sonsini and Wilson Weisel each scored twice for the Gators.
Softball
Mercy-Burlingame 11, Notre Dame-Belmont 8, nine innings
The Crusaders fell behind 5-0 after six innings.
Not only did they go on to tie the game and force extra innings, the Crusaders went on to post the win, four days after dropping a 17-1 decision to the Tigers, overcoming seven errors in the process.
NDB (6-3 WBAL, 8-5 overall) scored two runs in the bottom of the first and single runs in the fifth and sixth.
Mercy-Burlingame (8-1, 9-7) tied the game with five runs in the top of the seventh to force the game to extra innings.
Both teams scored a run in the eighth before Mercy’s second-five spot of the game in the top of the ninth.
Karla Joachin-Alvarez, Bella Alterio and Riley Rodriguez each drove in a pair of runs for Mercy.
Ashley North had two RBIs for NDB.
San Mateo 2, Capuchino 1
The Bearcats were involved in yet another close decision, rally to win the game with a run in the bottom of the sixth.
Giuliana Selvitella, who was 2 for 3 at the plate, drove in the game-winning run on the first pitch she saw in the sixth.
That made a winner of Bethany Shih, who worked the final two innings.
Boys’ volleyball
Carlmont 3, San Mateo 0
The Scots continue their march toward an undefeated PAL campaign with a 25-16, 25-12, 25-21 win over the Bearcats.
Ethan Mayoss had 21 of 34 kills for Carlmont (12-0), while co-setters Ryan Tomita and Miles Ozorio combined for 29 assists.
San Mateo (8-2) got four kills each from Landon Finn and Ryan Savage.
Boys’ tennis
Menlo School 7, Sacred Heart Prep 0
The Knights clinched their 23rd straight league championship with a sweep of the rival Gators.
Andrei Volgin, Rishi Hain, Mick Tamas and the No. 3 doubles team of Stgeph Nivaggioli and Jstin Creamer all won their matches at love for Menlo (11-0 WBAL).
