Aragon 7, Woodside 0
The Dons clinched the Peninsula Athletic League’s Bay Division outright with the sweep of the Wildcats in their season finale.
Aragon (11-1 PAL Bay, 12-1) earns the Bay’s top automatic bid into the Central Coast Section tournament and will bypass the PAL CCS four-team play-in tournament.
Adam Beg, who filled in at No. 4 singles, coasted to a 6-0, 6-0 win. Older brother Akbar Beg won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, Veraaz Khan posted a 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 2 singles and Darrin O’Brien completed the singles sweep with a 6-1, 6-3 win.
The match of the day came at No. 3 doubles, where Aragon’s Ben Lee and Azmir Khan outlasted Lucas Campana and Parker Brown in three sets — 7-6(2), 5-7, 10-1.
Menlo-Atherton 5, Burlingame 2
The Bears clinched second place in the PAL Bay Division and the top seed in the PAL CCS play-in team tournament with the win over the Panthers.
M-A will play Ocean Division winner Mills in the first round of the team tournament Wednesday.
Three of the matches went three sets, with M-A (10-2 PAL Bay, 10-2 overall) winning all three. Lawrence Chao, playing at No. 3 singles, outlasted Burlingame’s Alexander Bozinovic 6-4, 1-6, 10-8. Cubby Derrough took the No. 4 singles win with a 7-6, 3-6, 10-4 win over Caleb Chou. And at No. 2 doubles, the Bears’ tandem of Liam Baker and Thomas Greenleaf took down the Panthers’ pair of Nicholas Moshkovoy and Spencer Phonsombat 6-4, 3-6, 10-4.
Burlingame finishes in third place at 9-3 in Bay play and will be the No. 2 seed in the team tournament and will host fourth-place and No. 3 seed San Mateo.
In other action ...
San Mateo (6-6 PAL Bay) got past Carlmont (3-9), 4-3. The Bearcats are one of four teams to have a .500 or better record in Bay play.
Half Moon Bay (9-3 PAL Ocean) wrapped up second place in the Ocean Division with a 6-1 win over Oceana (7-5).
Sequoia (8-4 PAL Ocean) swept Capuchino (0-11-1), 7-0.
Westmoor (4-8) closed out its season with a 6-1 win over El Camino (1-10-1).
Boys’ golf
Woodside 203, Aragon 216
All six golfers for the Wildcats shot rounds in the 30s and 40s as they beat the Dons at Green Hills Golf and Country Club in Millbrae.
Luca Larranga and Jack Albanese led the way for Woodside as both carded 2-over 38s. Eli Harkon came in with a 40 for the Wildcats, while Brendan Manca and Logan Mark finished with rounds of 43 and 44, respectively.
All five scoring golfers for Aragon shot sub-50 rounds, as well, led by Ben Torrerio and Conor Reidy, who both finished with 4-over 40s. Holden Keane and Stefan Baldini carded 44 for the Dons, while Drew Linweller posted a 48.
San Mateo 218, El Camino 280
Elliott Dun shot a 3-over 33 to lead the Bearcats to the Ocean Division win over the Colt.
Anurag Kashyap added 38 for San Mateo, which improved to 8-3 in PAL play.

San Mateo 3, Burlingame 1
The Bearcats pulled off one of the biggest upsets of the season, knocking the Panthers out of a first-place tie with Menlo-Atherton following a 25-16, 25-22, 21-25, 25-23 victory.
Aaron Guo had another huge night of offense for San Mateo (5-4 PAL Bay, 15-11 overall) going over the 30-kill mark to finish with 31 putaways. Marcus Kim added 20 kills in the win.
Burlingame falls to 6-2 in Bay play and 16-5 overall.
College baseball
Skyline 19, San Francisco 0
The Trojans’ lopsided win, coupled with College of San Mateo’s win over Chabot, gives Skyline a one-game lead over both CSM and Chabot with one game remaining in the regular season.
Skyline (15-4 Coast North, 29-9 overall) scored 19 runs on 23 hits, scoring five runs in the second, and four each in the third and fourth innings.
Gabriel Melara had a monster game at the plate for Skyline, going 5 of 5 with two doubles, a homer and eight RBIs. Nick Tobin added three RBIs, while Jacob DeFrene, Kyle Liu and Santino Nanez all drove in two runs apiece for the Trojans.
Steven Dalton, the starter and one of five pitchers for Skyline, got the win with five innings of work, scattering six hits.
San Mateo 11, Chabot 5
The Bulldogs pulled into a second-place tie with the Gladiators — both a game back of first-place Skyline — with the regular-season finale to be played Thursday.
Chabot (14-5 Coast North, 26-12 overall) took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first, but CSM (14-5, 24-13) took the lead for good with three runs in the top of the third. The Bulldogs took control of the game with a six-run sixth.
Dylan Hillman and Aaron Babeav each hit a home run and drove in two runs for CSM. Charlie Welch drove in two for the Bulldogs, as well.
AJ Minyard got the win, working into the seventh, allowing five runs on eight hits. Dominic Cristinzio and Braden Agosta then closed out the Gladiators.
Cañada 10, De Anza 5
The Colts kept their playoff hopes alive with the win over the Lions.
De Anza (3-16 Coast North, 14-24 overall) jumped on the Colts with four runs in the top of the first. But Cañada (9-10, 20-18) scored two in the bottom of the first, three in the second and then took command with a five-run fifth.
Patrick Sanchez doubled and drove in two runs, with Chris Arce adding a pair of RBIs, as well.
College softball
San Mateo 14, Cabrillo 0
The Bulldogs scored six runs in the second and seven more in the fourth as they finished the regular season as Coast Conference co-champs.
Sierra Pasco went 3 for 4 with a home run and four RBIs to lead San Mateo. Keithleen Gonzalez added two RBIs for the Bulldogs.
West Valley will share the title with CSM (12-2 Coast, 35-3 overall) after the Vikings slipped past San Jose, 1-0.
