King’s Academy 7, Hillsdale 6
After seeing Hillsdale tie the score at 6-all with three runs in the top of the seventh inning, King’s walked off with the win with a run in the bottom of the 10th inning.
Hillsdale (1-3 PAL Bay, 8-7 overall) jumped out to a 3-0 lead with a three-run second, but King’s (4-1, 9-6) answered with a five-run bottom of the third. King’s extended its lead with a run in the bottom of the sixth before Hillsdale came roaring back in the top of the seventh to tie.
Tommy Schultz had a big game for Hillsdale, going 3 for 4 with a homer, two doubles, two RBIs and two runs scored.
Max Roberts and Oliver Entzminger each drove two runs for King’s.
Menlo-Atherton 14, Carlmont 7
The Scots cut a five-run deficit to one following a four-run top of the sixth, but the Bears responded with six runs in the bottom of the inning to pull away for the Bay Division win.
M-A (3-2 PAL Bay, 6-10 overall) scored once in the first and added two more in the second. After Carlmont (2-2, 7-9) tied it with three runs in the top of the fourth, the Bears took the lead for good with five runs in the bottom of the inning.
M-A senior Masatake Shudo had the best day of his two-year Bears’ varsity career. He went 2 for 3, hitting his first varsity home run, adding a double and driving in a career-high four runs.
Jake Scott went 3 for 3 with a home run and three RBIs for the Bears, while Ryder Kelly doubled and drove in a pair.
Michael Nishikawa and Nolan Hahm each drove in two runs for Carlmont, while Ryan Weiss hit a solo home run.
Burlingame 7, Menlo School 3
The Panthers built a 4-2 lead after two innings before tacking on three more in the bottom of the sixth to pull away from the Knights.
Menlo (2-3 PAL Bay, 9-7 overall) started quickly, scoring twice in the top of the first. Burlingame (3-1, 8-5) answered right back with three runs in the bottom of the inning and adding a fourth run in the second.
The three-run sixth gave the Panthers some breathing room, but the Knights were held scoreless from the second to the sixth before plating their third in the top of the seventh.
Luke Widner went 2 for 4 with two RBIs to lead the Menlo offense.
In other action ...
Galileo-SF (6-11) shut out Jefferson (1-12) 8-0 in a non-league game.

Boys’ volleyball
Hillsdale 3, Aragon 2
The Knights moved into sole possession of first place in the PAL Bay Division after knocking off the rival Dons 25-19, 14-25, 19-25, 25-19, 15-9.
Austin Chen continues to swing it for Hillsdale (5-1 PAL Bay, 15-4 overall), finishing with a match-high 20 kills. He was one of four Knights to finish in double-figure kills. Chris Feinberg finished with 16 kills, Nils Bennebroek had 12 and Brady Bittle chipped in 10.
Arian Zolotukhin guided the offense by pumping out 51 assists, while also coming up big defensively, finishing with 12 digs.
The win moves Hillsdale a half-game ahead of Carlmont, which had a bye Wednesday and sits at 4-1.

Woodside (7-0 PAL Ocean, 9-1 overall) stayed undefeated in Ocean Division play after beating El Camino (4-4) in straight sets — 25-20, 25-18, 25-23.
Capuchino (1-5 PAL Ocean, 4-14 overall) picked up its first win in Ocean play with a 24-13, 25-18, 25-22 win over South City (0-6).

Softball
Burlingame 5, Notre Dame-Belmont 4
After the Tigers tied the game with a run in the bottom of the seventh, the Panthers scored in the top of the eighth to beat the Tigers in the PAL Ocean Division opener for both.
NDB (0-1 PAL Ocean, 6-9-1 overall) took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first. Burlingame (1-0, 7-6) tied it with a run in the top of the fifth, but the Tigers answered in the bottom of the inning and then added another run in the bottom of the sixth for a 3-1 lead.
But the Panthers rallied for three runs in the top of the seventh for a 4-3 lead, only to see the Tigers force the extra inning by tying the game in the bottom of the seventh.
Maddy Koo had a double among her three hits and drove in three to pace the Burlingame offense. Olivia Delucchi and Brooke Arce each added an RBI as well for the Panthers.
Skylar Loo had a pair of doubles and an RBI for NDB.
Mercy 18, Jefferson 1
Eight runs in the first and 10 in the second were enough to post a 15-run, three-inning mercy rule win for the Bears in a PAL Lake Division matchup.
Olivia Eastburn had a big day at the plate for Mercy (4-0 PAL Lake, 14-4 overall), going 4 for 4 with two doubles and five RBIs. Isabel Reburiano, Andrea Martin and Kathleen Graupera all drove in two runs apiece.
Dayanara Padilla drove in the run for Jefferson (0-3, 0-7).
South City 17, Castilleja 6
Trailing 4-3 after fourth innings, the Warriors finished with a flourish in beating the Gators.
South City (2-1 PAL Lake, 7-7 overall) scored four runs in the fifth and five each in the sixth and seventh to pull away for the lopsided win.
Madyson Jade Quintanilla blasted a pair of solo home runs for the Warriors, while Liala Kitchen went 2 for 3 with four RBIs and four runs scored. Miley Salvatore and Phoebe Oseguera each drove in a pair of runs for South City, as well.
Design Tech 18, LVLA 2
After a slow start, the Dragons got going, scoring 16 runs in their final three at-bats to post the mercy-rule win over the Lions in a PSAL game.
Design Tech (3-0 PSAL, 5-3 overall) led 2-0 after two innings before scoring four in both the third and fourth inning and then putting up an eight spot in the fifth.
Ashley Trainer went 3 for 4 with four RBIs and three runs scored for D Tech, Ella Lewis went 3 for 5 with three RBIs and three runs scored, while Angelica Soto and Caitlin Edwards each added two RBI apiece.

Summit Shasta (1-1 PSAL, 2-2 overall) scored 13 runs in the first inning on its way to a 19-2 win over KIPP San Jose Collegiate.
