Terra Nova 2, Oceana 0
The Tigers wrapped up their first Peninsula Athletic League title for the first time since capturing the 2016 Ocean Division crown following the win over the Sharks.
With one game remaining on the PAL schedule, Terra Nova (9-0 PAL Ocean, 27 points; 13-4-1 overall) holds an insurrmountable seven-point lead over both San Mateo and South City.
Only the Ocean Division champion earns an automatic bid to the Central Section playoffs.
The Tigers scored once in each half. Dani Guterres, off an assist from Jojo Pancoast, gave Terra Nova a 1-0 lead at halftime. Guterres then doubled the lead in the second half, converting a Laney Wilson pass.
Oceana falls to 4-4 in Ocean play (12 points) and 5-11 overall.
Menlo-Atherton 1, Carlmont 0
The Scots no longer control their own destiny with the loss to the Bears.
When Carlmont (6-2-3 PAL Bay, 22 points; 9-4-5 overall) played Bay Division-leading Woodside to a scoreless tie Feb. 3, the Scots remained two points behind the Wildcats with three games left to play. Three wins in a row would have given Carlmont the division title.
Now, the Scots need to best Sequoia Friday and hope Woodside ties or loses against M-A (4-4-3, 15 points; 8-5-5). A Carlmont win and a Woodside tie would result in a co-championship; a Scots victory and a Wildcats loss would give Carlmont the crown. If both teams wins — Woodside is back-to-back Bay Division champs.
M-A’s June Wagner’s first-half goal, off an assist from Sam Ruiz, proved to the game winner for the Bears.
San Mateo 1, Mills 0
The Bearcats moved into a second-place tie in the Ocean Division standings following the win over the Vikings.
Kayla Lichaa continues her stellar season for San Mateo (5-1-2 PAL Ocean, 17 points; 8-3-2 overall), scoring the game’s only goal off an assist from Lula Bertonlina in the first half.
South City 0, Capuchino 0
The Warriors hopes of catching division-leading Terra Nova were dashed with the draw with the Mustangs.
South City (5-1-2 PAL Ocean, 17 points) falls into a second-place tie with San Mateo. Capuchino is 3-4-1 in Ocean play (10 points) and 3-13-1 overall.

Sequoia 2, Aragon 2
The Ravens were eliminated from Bay Division title contention with the draw against the Dons.
Sequoia (5-3-3 PAL Bay, 18 points; 7-7-4 overall) needed to win its final three games and then get help to leapfrog both Woodside and Carlmont.
Instead, the Ravens will have to be content with a third-place finish and the final automatic qualifying berth to the CCS playoffs.
Sequoia scored once in each half. Kate Dutton gave the Ravens a 1-0 lead at halftime, converting a Gigi Jarolimek pass, who then rounded out the scoring in the second half off an assist from Kayla Halada.
Aragon (3-4-4, 13 points; 4-7-5) scored both its goals in the first half, with Reina Chen and Tessa Matthews scoring unassisted goals.
Burlingame 1, Hillsdale 0
The Panthers may have moved out of the relegation zone with the win over the Knights.
Burlingame (4-7-1 PAL Bay, 13 points; 4-11-1 overall) moved into a tie for fifth place, with Aragon, while Hillsdale (1-6-4, 7 points; 3-9-4) remain at the bottom of the Bay Division standings and are facing a move to the Ocean Division for next season.
Gaelle Anne Foy scored the game’s only goal for the Panthers in the second half.
Half Moon Bay 4, El Camino 2
The Cougars scored twice in each half to double up the Colts.
Maegaux Meyers scored twice for HMB (4-3-1 PAL Ocean, 13 points; 5-7-2 overall), while Marcia Lynes had a goal and an assist for the Cougars.
Isabella Fernandez scored both goals for El Camino (3-5, 9 points; 5-11).
