San Mateo 4, Terra Nova 1
The Bearcats earned their first Ocean Division win of the season by beating the Tigers.
Djelani Phillips scored a pair of goals and Noa Mandorf had a goal and an assist to lead San Mateo (1-1 PAL Ocean, 2-5-1 overall), which also got a goal Luis Mora.
Auner Barrios and Micheal Walsh added assists for the Bearcats.
Sequoia 2, Carlmont 1
Simon Clarke converted an early penalty kick as the Cherokees went on to post a PAL Bay Division victory over the Scots.
Sequoia (2-2-1 PAL Bay, 5-3-2) got its other goal from Jacob Burrill.
Carlmont (2-3-1, 2-5-2) got its goal Belal Shehadeh, who was assisted by Muaath Nofal.
Half Moon Bay 1, Aragon 1
Octavio DeLeon converted a penalty kick in the final minutes to force a tie with the Dons in a PAL Bay Division match.
Aragon took a 1-0 lead in the 70th minute.

Sacred Heart Prep 1, Mercy-Burlingame 1
The Crusaders passed their first real test in WBAL Foothill Division play by tying the Gators to remain unbeaten in league play.
Victoria Ortiz scored off an assist from Caroline Callagy as Mercy (2-0-1 WBAL Foothill, 6-2-3 overall) scored inside the final 10 minutes to forge the tie with the Gators.
Kristine Fisher Colbrie gave SHP (0-2-1, 5-3-4) a 1-0 lead in the 58th minute.
Boys’ basketball
Sacred Heart Prep 60, Woodside Priory 47
Matthew Covington knocked six 3-pointers for the Panthers and Dave Ajanaku-Makun finished with 21 points, but it wasn’t enough as the Gators pulled out the WBAL victory.
SHP (5-1 WBAL, 8-7 overall) was led by Brendan Carney, who scored 18 points. Ryan von Thaden added 14 for the Gators.
Covington finished with 20 points for Woodside Priory (1-5, 6-10).

South City 50, El Camino 31
The Colts stayed close with the Warriors for a half in the battle for South City bragging rights, but South City held El Camino to only 11 second-half points to pull away for the PAL North Division win.
El Camino (2-4 PAL North, 7-10 overall) came out firing as Jasmine Pon scored 14 of her game-high 17 points in the first half as the Colts trailed just 22-20 at halftime.
Ula Talolo led South City (5-0, 9-7) with 14 points and eight rebounds.
Mercy-Burlingame 58, Crystal Springs 26
The Crusaders had 11 players get in the scoring column as they cruised to the WBAL Skyline Division victory.
Ryan Galea led Mercy (2-2 WBAL Skyline, 10-6 overall) with 13 points. Mia Calsada added 11 points for the Crusaders.
Pinewood 75, Menlo School 36
The Panthers handed the Knights their first WBAL Foothill Division loss and snapped their seven-game winning streak in the process.
Menlo (4-1 WBAL Foothill, 15-2 overall) trailed state power Pinewood (5-0, 15-1) by just two, 16-14, after one quarter. But the Panthers held the Knights to just 22 points the rest of the way.
Menlo was led by Avery Lee, who finished with 13 points.

Half Moon Bay 63, Menlo-Atherton 12
The Cougars passed the first major hurdle to a PAL dual-meet championship by beating the defending champion Bears.
In the four matches that were contested — the other 10 were forfeits — HMB (2-0 PAL Bay) won all four. Taylor Micallef (123), Yulissa Ramirez (133) and Esmeralda Mendez (139) all won by pin. Lucia Sarabia (128) posted a 2-0 win over Gwen Tompkins.

Sequoia 1, Capuchino 0
Genni Shane scored the lone goal for the Cherokees (3-1 PAL Ocean, 5-5-3 overall), who stay within striking distance of first place heading into Tuesday’s showdown with PAL Ocean Division leader South City. Shane was assisted by Stephanie Rodriguez for the game-winner. Capuchino (2-2, 6-6) falls to fourth place in the Ocean standings.
Mills 5, Westmoor 0
Sophia Skyriotis scored a hat trick and Kiara Bettucchi added two more goals as the Vikings (3-1 PAL Lake, 3-3 overall) breezed past Westmoor (1-5, 2-6). Skyriotis scored the first three goals of the day, with assists from Bettucchi, Celeste Henry and Rachel Lam. Both Bettucchi’s scores were unassisted.
