In some ways, the coronavirus is still a mystery. Scientists can’t say for certain why it’s deadly or debilitating in some people but has virtually no effect in others. They don’t know exactly how long immunity lasts or whether (or when) a vaccine will stop its spread and bring this wretched chapter to a close.

I am hopeful that our need to tone down and be separated from one another might bring deeper meaning for us about the holidays. We might be able to dwell on being truly thankful if we haven't lost anyone during the pandemic. We might be able to experience the joys of giving to those who have little, or who have lost a loved one. and to wish strangers well.

Those idiot BLM and Antifa riots and brain-dead Biden gatherings and state shutdowns don’t seem to be helping to decrease the transmission rate. Yet, on a weekly basis, the death rate continues to follow a downward trend. If you hold a “peaceful protest” you’re fine, so let’s expand and open up the states as a giant “peaceful protest.”
