Editor,

Did you know that there is 19 grams of sugar in one carton of chocolate milk? That’s crazy! In class we are discussing if schools should serve chocolate milk. We surveyed multiple classes to find information. In my opinion I think chocolate milk should not be served in SMFCSD schools because, most first graders don’t like it, there are better alternatives and most of all chocolate milk is unhealthy.

Dhruvan,

Thank you for taking the time to inform us of your information about chocolate milk and how it is not as popular as I would have thought. Years ago when I was in grade school chocolate milk was the thing we wanted. You could always get regular milk but chocolate milk or hot chocolate in the winter is what I wanted. Thanks for the memories.
