Mr. Mays, you hit the nail on the head! Hats off! Bravo! Your column (“House of horror” in the Friday, April 26, edition of the San Mateo Daily Journal) about the Ice Cream Museum in San Francisco made my day! Your observations were so well put, I was taken aback. You expressed my sentiments perfectly, especially your comment about people trying to capture images of having fun rather than just experiencing the fun. That behavior I do not understand at all — no wonder many performers are banning smartphones from their shows. The audience’s have become a major distraction, not to mention obnoxious. Working one’s selfie and social media “A-game” has become the new norm. Sad.
