Editor,

Regarding the letter of Monday, July 28, in the Daily Journal titled Pray-pray-pray, I’ve always felt fellow letter writer Jorg Aadahl is on a personal mission given his constant and nauseating badgering of all things not in line with his political thinking. But now he decides to pivot and insult the millions and millions and millions of people of various religious beliefs, be they Muslim, Christians, Jewish, etc., who find solace in praying to whomever they identify with. I don’t think who they pray for is an “it,” dear Jorg, but whatever, if anything, you do, probably is an “it.”

Mr. Wackerman: Do you really believe there is “something” waiting for enough praying to take place, before doing something?

With all the praying taking place around the world, aimed at a variety of imaginary gods, do you have a single example that it works? What about all the praying I’m sure took place during Holocaust? Did it work?

The war is over so looks like it did.

Jorg

willallen: So, you mean it had nothing to do with allied forces storming Normandy on D-day?

Thanks for your letter, Mr. Wackerman. Perhaps God is sending us a message…that we will always encounter those who follow the path of a fallen angel. Or…methinks Jorg is attempting to do what many others are doing these days – cry for attention in whatever way possible. Have you seen the multitude of political performance theatre from Democrats? I’m waiting for this phase to pass and looking forward to future LTE’s from Jorg, easily debunked, about how he thinks the Second Amendment or the Electoral College should be interpreted – counter to the hundreds (maybe thousands) of decisions upholding the right of Americans to bear arms and upholding the Electoral College system. Then we should see another letter on religion. Rinse and repeat. Bless his heart - at least Jorg is consistent with his messages. I'll begin to worry if my dear friend Jorg leaves these pages or changes his messages. I'll be afraid to look outside because pigs may be flying, with no tornado in sight.

Never underestimate the power of prayer. God is always listening. But we need to be humble and trusting - His ways are not our selfish ways.

Jorg

Keep praying and hoping, and good luck!

Poor Mr. Wackerman. You either clearly did not get Mr. Aadahl's point in his LTE "Pray, Pray, Pray', or, as I suspect, you are just pulling the typical Trump trick of accusing the accuser, or, deflecting the blame from Trump back onto the subject of religion. Either way, that just makes you a Trump Enabler, and nothing more.

Mr. Aadahl's LTE was very specific about the difference between just praying and taking some form of action. Trump did not take any action. Normal President's immediately send whatever Federal resources they can to help out the Texas community, But, Trump didn't. He just prayed. Accusing Mr. Aadahl of pissing off religious people is B.S.. That's like me saying Mr. Wackerman, you don't care about the 26 little girls that were killed in that tragedy since you are only covering for your beloved Trump. Let's pray that you will improve your reading and comprehension skills beyond the 6th grade level.

Mike O. - again your spin is unfounded. Disasters like the one in Texas are at first the responsibility of local emergency services. Once FEMA is notified, that agency which is federally controlled, springs into action. And it did. Your and Jorg's TDS obscure your main motive and that is to accuse Trump of inaction and his further reaction to pray for the victims. Had nothing to do with prevention. You are pathetic.

Jorg

Dirk: So, why did it take 3 days before FEMA was called out? Because the incompetent girl that Trump had appointed for a position way over her head, - needed the time to find the right outfit?

Hello, Bob

I read your letter very early this morning but waited until now to comment.

God changes lives. When we meet people in these pages who seem to resemble someone like Eustace Scrubb, we must remember they are not really provocateurs. They are more likely struggling against fear, pain, and perhaps loneliness. Will they, like Eustace, become undragoned? That's not for us to say, however, we can pray that they will shed the scales preventing them from becoming new.

Jorg

Ray: God-inspired, or not, you are indeed amusing, - in your own, strange way. Are you talking about anyone you really know, or just someone you falsely believe you know, - because you don’t know better?

Ray Fowler

Comments were meant for Bob, but if the shoe fits...

Jorg

Ray: Don't try to fit me into too tight shoes! Makes it hard to move around freely.

Ray Fowler

See you in the funny papers, Eustace.
