Editor,
Noelia Corzo brought a solidarity with a cease-fire in Gaza statement before the San Mateo County Medical Center Board on Monday. We commend the board for abstaining and staying out of international affairs that do not concern San Mateo County. This was an absolute waste of a local governing body’s time and resources. These resolutions have brought only division and a rise in antisemitic attacks in our local community and in our children’s schools. While not only completely irrelevant to the county’s medical center and health department, it also failed to point out that Hamas is an internationally recognized terrorist organization. A terrorist organization that kidnapped Israeli and American civilians and children, brutally raped women, and deliberately absorbs health care and critical aid intended for Gazan civilians.
