I just read in the Daily Journal that California has ranked fifth in economic prosperity (“State now ranks fifth in economy” in the May 5 in the Daily Journal), surpassing the United Kingdom. And yet, we still rank 50th in the quality of education.
Voters passed Proposition 37 in 1984 because we were assured that a major portion of the revenue would be transitioned to public schools to help them with the resources they needed to teach. If we are still on the bottom of the education ladder, where is the money going?
Where is the money going? how about a bloated bureaucracy in public education and pension and healthcare costs of those already retired. Let me know if you have any other questions Joe.
