Susan Carol Cooks Gott, 85 years old, is now at peace in the big party in the sky. She followed her own Father exactly 34 years later on Memorial Day.
She graduated from Mercy highschool and was a Magna Cum Laude graduate from Notre Dame Belmont College. Not only was she a devoted Mom to her four children, but spent years working as a social worker helping abused kids. She experienced several tragedies in her life but always valiantly got back up and never lost her deep and abiding faith. She was a world traveler, avid reader, faithful Catholic and lover of dogs.
Susan always wanted to go to family events no matter how injured or hurt, traveling great distances to be with her loved ones. Now our North star will be going ahead of us guiding the way and she will be missed greatly until we can see her again.
She is survived by her brother Richard Cooks, her sister Kathleen Mullin, and children Daniel Gott, Rebecca Gott, Maria Twiss and Teresa Gott. She delighted in her 7 grandchildren and would tell them to be good. Grandma is waiting for them at the party
Catholic mass will be held at St. Catherine’s of Siena Church in Burlingame, CA on June 12, 2026 at 10 a.m. followed by Internment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma, CA at 12 noon. All are welcome.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to local SPCA or county CASA(an organization that helps foster kids).
