It is with a heavy heart, that we announce the passing of Diana Bartol on May 5, 2018 at age 78 at her home in Redwood City, California, surrounded by family. She was tired and wanted to go to sleep, she did peacefully.
Â
Diana was born in San Francisco in 1940, and moved to Redwood City at an early age. She met the love of her life, Thomas Bartol, they became high school sweethearts while attending Sequoia HS. They married young and were blessed with 4 children, Tom Jr., Sheree, Michael and Danielle. All this before Diana was 21! Diana was blessed with 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Diana is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Bartol in 2006, her father, Clyde Carr, and her mother Teresa Carr.
Â
Those who knew her will agree that she was kind, caring, compassionate, meticulously dressed, classy and most of all loving, until the end. Diana loved gardening, good food and her grandchildren they were her greatest passions. She would care for friends at her own expense, getting them to doctor appointments or bringing meals. She continued to do this even when she didn’t feel well, but she was committed to helping others in need.
Â
Diana’s love for her family and friends will live on through us forever. She left a lasting impression on all who were fortunate to meet her. She will be deeply missed and will live forever in our hearts.
A celebration of life will be held on May 19, 2018, at 10 AM at Crippen and Flynn, 400 Woodside Rd, Redwood City, CA. Following the service, there will be a gathering at the family home. In lieu of flowers, you may contribute in Diana’s name to the Cancer Research Institute New York NY (cancer research.org)
