Alexander Sandino "Sandy" Cozzolino passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 16 at his home in Millbrae, surrounded by his family. Born on Feb. 12, 1924, son of Italian immigrants Salvatore and Natalina, he is survived by his loving wife Lupita "Lou," children Cathleen, Alexander (Sharon) and Julie (Jim); grandchildren Doniella, Matthew, Angela, Suzanne and Anthony and siblings Mike, Molly, Marie, Flora "Peach" and Jim.

Early years were spent with his siblings working the family farm in Millbrae where his home is now located on a portion of the original farm. As a member of the early farming community in Millbrae he enjoyed lifelong friendships with the farming, business and residential community. His greatest joys in life were his family, farming, golfing and running his business. He also enjoyed hunting with family and friends and was known as a "crack shot." He is a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, having served with the "Seabees." Sandy valued the simplicity of life and took comfort and joy in being with the people he loved. His pure delight in living touched all that knew him. Throughout the adventures of his life, he was widely known and respected by all who had the pleasure of his company and he will be greatly missed.
