Officers arrested two teenage boys Sunday on suspicion of burglarizing a school in San Mateo after a resident reported suspicious behavior, police said Tuesday.
Police said they received a call about two youths wearing hoods and carrying backpacks after school hours at Baywood Elementary School located at 600 Alameda de las Pulgas.
When they arrived at the school, officers apprehended the suspects, who were fleeing with some of the school’s electronic equipment in hand.
According to police, all property was returned to the school. The juveniles, a 15-year-old boy from Daly City and another from San Mateo, were released to their parents after their arrest was processed with San Mateo County’s Juvenile Court system.
Anyone with information about the case can contact the San Mateo Police Department at (650) 522-7700.
