In an effort to scope ways to regulate use, cultivation and sales of marijuana in Redwood City, officials are asking residents to voice their opinions on several rules they are considering to mesh with Proposition 64, which legalized recreational use in California.

When the City Council discussed how the city’s pot rules might intersect with the new state law in June, councilmembers expressed shared interest in a more restrictive approach to local marijuana sales and outdoor personal marijuana cultivation and agreed allowing recreational marijuana delivery along with medicinal marijuana delivery, which is already permitted in the city, could make sense if licenses for all businesses with marijuana-related operations in the city were required.
