Ready to dig in and play in San Mateo
- Nick Rose/Daily Journal

San Mateo Councilmember Lisa Diaz Nash, Mayor Rob Newsom Jr., Councilmember Danielle Cwirko-Godycki and Councilmember Nicole Fernandez, along with kids from the Build Blocks Preschool Program break ground on the Central Park playground renovation project. The $8.5 million renovation will bring to life an Adventure Village concept — a forest-themed, sensory-rich playground designed with community input to promote inclusive, imaginative play. The new playground will include spinning, climbing, sliding, musical and tactile elements, an interactive musical play feature, a shaded plaza for caregivers and a new restroom — all nestled beneath the park’s tree canopy. Construction begins this spring and will take approximately 18 to 24 months.

command: "A1, can you please create a picture of four politicians pretending to care."
Look who wants people to think they suddenly like children. In North Central these guys are taking away bike lanes from children riding to school to give more space to "corporate interest".
Always showing courage for the photo op, never stepping up for kids when it really counts.
Lisa Diaz Nash wants to be your County Supervisor. Voters shouldn't just look at photo ops. People need to look for politicians with a backbone and at least some guile and wits.
