Authorities said Thursday they have arrested a Hayward man suspected of robbing a Peninsula business at gunpoint last month and tying up the victims before fleeing.
Carlos Gonzalez, 37, allegedly held up a business on the 100 block of Terminal Court in South San Francisco about 11:15 a.m. on March 15.
"The male suspect brandished a firearm, bound the victims, forced them into a room and stole a substantial amount of cash, before fleeing the scene," South San Francisco police said in a news release.
Detectives identified Gonzalez as a suspect and on Tuesday carried out a search warrant of his home in Hayward.
He was arrested on suspicion of robbery and kidnapping, and booked into San Mateo County's main jail, Maguire Correctional Facility in Redwood City. Gonzalez is set to appear in court on Friday, according to jail records.
The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Evans at (650) 877-8900 or tips@ssf.net.
