Crews put out a blaze caused by an oven Monday evening at a residence in Daly City, according to the North County Fire Authority.
Around 7:20 p.m., firefighters were alerted to a residential apartment structure fire at 150 School St. Upon arrival, crews found smoke coming from a two-story apartment building.
The North County Fire Authority said all occupants had safely evacuated the building when firefighters entered the structure. Two residents were transported to a hospital due to minor smoke inhalation, fire officials said.
According to the North County Fire Authority, the blaze was triggered by an out-of-control oven, which was removed by firefighters. They had to remain on scene for over an hour for smoke removal and overhaul operations, fire officials said.
