Officials from the Belmont-Redwood Shores Elementary School District voted last night to place a parcel tax extension on the Nov. 5 ballot.
The measure would extend the district’s current voter-approved parcel taxes of $174 a year which are due to expire soon. If approved in a two-thirds vote, it would expire in 10 years. An independent citizen oversight committee would continue to oversee district expenditures, according to district officials.
The vote was 4-0 with one member of the Board of Trustees absent
