A Redwood City man accused of molesting two children and communicating with three others with the intent of engaging in a sex act earlier this year is facing 25 years to life in prison for 10 felony charges, according to the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office.

Arraigned Monday, 32-year-old Angel Leopoldo Gutierrez Monney, is in custody on $2 million bail after a friend of one of the five victims, male students between the ages of 10 and 13 at Tierra Linda Middle School in San Carlos, told his father about Gutierrez Monney’s suspicious behavior earlier this month, according to prosecutors and the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.
