During the summer, the Redwood Symphony, led by Eric K, will return to perform at Courthouse Square for an opportunity for residents to tune in and enjoy the live entirely-volunteer orchestra.
Days are growing longer and families are growing restless, but Redwood City’s slew of programming and events for the summer months will be sure to keep residents of all ages busy.
Live music, movies and outdoor community events are returning to the city from Courthouse Square to the Redwood Shores lagoons. Familiar favorites and unique new opportunities will catch the eye of anyone needing something to do, for free.
To start it all off, on May 30, kids can attend the free Youth Center Summer Kickoff Party to enjoy food, a rock climbing wall, music, inflatables and more, from 3-5 p.m. Youth Center membership is not required.
Movies on the Square

This party will lead directly into the first main concert event of the summer.
Art on the Square
On four special Fridays, a pop-up art gallery will complement the live music, as Hamilton Avenue transforms into a creative display area.
