Sequoia 7, Hillsdale 4
Ethan Butt and Kieran Peterson each scored hat tricks to lead the Ravens past the Knights in a PAL Ocean Division match.
Sequoia (5-1 PAL Ocean, 9-3 overall) led 3-2 after the first period, but took control in the second, shutting out Hillsdale (2-2, 3-8) to lead 6-2 at halftime. Sam Richman added a goal in the third period for the Ravens.
Burlingame 10, Priory 9
A six-goal second quarter was enough for Burlingame to hold off Priory.
Burlingame (3-2 PAL Bay, 4-3 overall) led 7-2 at halftime, but had a weather a second-half rally by Priory (1-2, 7-2), which outscored Burlingame 7-3 in the second half.

Aragon beat Gunn, 10-2.

Boys’ volleyball
Hillsdale 3, Menlo-Atherton 1
The Knights moved into a tie for first place in the Bay Division after knocking off the Bears 25-23, 25-23, 222-5, 25-21.
Hillsdale (4-1 PAL Bay, 11-3 overall) got double-digit kills from three players, led by Austin Chen, who finished with 18. Nils Bennebroek added 16 and Chris Feinberg had 14. Knights’ setter Arian Zolotukhin pumped out 32 assists in guiding the offense.
Carlmont 3, San Mateo 0
The Scots kept pace with Hillsdale after sweeping the Bearcats 25-21, 25-20, 25-17.

Badminton
Aragon 22, San Mateo 8
Jayden Leo, playing at No. 1 boys’ singles, won his match 21-18, 21-7 to highlight the Dons’ win over the Bearcats.
Aragon’s William Ye and Anson Yu won 21-12, 21-5 at No. 1 boys’ singles, while Takeo Blakely and Ellie Leo won at No. 1 mixed doubles for the Dons – 21-18, 21-14.
San Mateo won at No. 1 girls’ singles where Vivian Shi needed three sets to get past Allison Hsu – 16-21, 21-9, 21-16. Surbhi Sakshi and Pachitsha Vang won at No. 1 girls’ doubles for the Bearcats, also in three sets, 10-21, 21-16, 21-15.
Westmoor 17, South City 13
The Rams got wins at No. 1 boys’ singles from Kido Phan, 21-2, 21-2, followed by wins at first girls’ doubles, where Ayumi Li and Alliyah Foronda won 8-21, 21-14-21, 16. Westmoor also won the No. 1 mixed doubles match where Hayden Huang and Elise Young won 21-10, 21-12.
South City won at No. 1 girls’ singles, where Bethany Lo posted a 21-14, 21-9 win. The Warriors’ No. 1 boys’ doubles team also won, 21-17, 21-2.
El Camino 16, Jefferson 14
The Colts slipped past the Grizzlies in an Ocean Division match, where El Camino’s superior depth proved to be the difference.
El Camino won only one of the five No. 1 matches as Jaydin Lau and Zachery Fung combined to win the No. 1 boys’ doubles match 21-9, 21-9.
Jefferson took the other four No. 1 singles matches. Harry Tran won his boys’ singles match in a marathon, 22-24, 21-16, 26-24. Jan Panbonial won the No. 1 girls’ singles match in three sets, as well, 14-21, 21-19, 21-18. Yoyo Hernandez and Liezle Alturnio won the first girls’ doubles match 13-21, 21-14, 21-18, while Tonio Muñoz and Itzel Gonzales won 21-13, 21-18 at No. 1 mixed doubles.
In other action ...
Hillsdale cruised past Woodside, 27-3.
