It was great to see such a large turnout of voters at Burlingame City Hall, but unfortunately, they were in for a long wait. I spent an hour in line midafternoon, and the line had doubled by the time I left. By 5 p.m., the line had grown out to the sidewalk, and the wait must have been hours. Fortunately, the weather was nice, but I have to wonder how many gave up and didn’t vote. This was a relatively short ballot, otherwise it would have been even worse. I feel bad for anyone who got a parking ticket while they were in line to vote.
