Editor,

During the school year, I have noticed that when I drive to work toward State Route 92 there is a significant slowdown around the Carey school, since parents park their cars on Alameda de las Pulgas to drop off their kids. People stop traffic waiting to pull over, they walk out into traffic and open their cars doors, forcing slowdowns and they will recklessly pull out into traffic causing slowdowns.

Mr. Fischer, lets say like myself you are starting out from around 25th or 24th and Alameda - I notice when I stay in the far inside lane I have never had any issues. In fact on some mornings I have buzzed over to 25th ave to pick up coffee and cut across using Isabelle Street and pick up 20th ave West bound which allows me to circumvent Carey School, whom I believe are wonderful neighbors.

My only regret is way back in the day when Serra HS could have purchased the land from Carey School - they decided not too.
