For those of you who have Medicare, as of Oct. 1, Medicare will no longer cover telehealth visits. This type of visit was authorized by Congress during COVID but that authorization expired Sept. 30. If these types of visits were important to you, get on the phone to your federal representatives as it will take a congressional act to extend the program. This issue only applies to Medicare patients.
