How could our government choose to blindfold themselves and legalize marijuana? Does the government believe they will have better control of such substance? Do we not remember when cocaine was legally added to medicines? After much research that mistake was fixed, thankfully, leading to a never-ending war against cocaine. Now, it seems as if we are dealing with marijuana in the opposite direction.
First, we fought hard against this drug, and now, it seems like we have given up and have given it a legal all-purpose permit. Companies are now free to advertise marijuana delivery job opportunities available to anyone who wishes to deliver happiness.
There is a mental struggle every pot smoker must deal with after using marijuana regularly and suddenly deciding to quit because they want to demonstrate that it’s not an addictive drug. OK, the frequency of use does have a lot to do with how you’re affected. The problem is, like any other drug, the more you take, the more you want. No marijuana user can say they still only smoke the same amount they smoked when they first tried it.
Parents who don’t agree with the use of this drug have always had the law on their side when dealing with their kids smoking pot. Now, who do they turn to? And don’t tell me that “the person buying has to have a legal permit with a valid ID.” Have these requirements ever stopped an irresponsible adult from buying alcohol or cigarettes for minors?
