One should not think himself capable or pretend as being able to understand in detail the tremendous suffering currently being experienced by the Israelis or by the Palestinians. Trying to be judge and jury of such complex, almost eternal conflict, from the comfort of a cushy, overpaid job in sunny California would insult most folks’ intelligences.
I have read nothing about the background or education of Supervisor Noelia Corzo to suggest to me she is qualified to meddle in international affairs, particularly this one 7,300 miles away.
Our decaying roads and potholes, our current floods, the increasing county crime rate, the deplorable housing facilities of our farmworkers, our county’s unfunded pension liabilities … are a few but enough local issues to keep Ms. Corzo busy for the rest of her term and beyond.
