Editor,
I am writing as a proud employee of the city of Burlingame to commend our city’s recognition as a Tree City USA and to give a well-deserved shout-out to the leadership within our Parks Department.
Burlingame’s designation as a Tree City USA is a testament to our collective commitment to environmental stewardship and community well-being. This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the dedicated efforts of our Parks Department team, who work tirelessly to maintain and enhance our urban forest.
Under the guidance of our Parks Department leadership, including Parks Superintendent Rich Holtz, Burlingame has made significant strides in tree planting and maintenance initiatives. Their leadership and expertise have been instrumental in ensuring the health and vitality of our urban trees, enriching our community, and improving our quality of life.
Burlingame owes a debt of gratitude to our Parks Department for their unwavering dedication to preserving our natural environment. Their commitment to excellence sets a shining example for all of us to follow. Let us celebrate Burlingame’s achievement as a Tree City USA and express our heartfelt appreciation to our Parks Department leadership for their outstanding contributions to our city.
