Editor,
Steven Howard’s letter “Yes, he is awful, but what’s your plan?” in the July 15 edition of the Daily Journal is just another Trump/Republican voter hypocritical nonsense.
Howard’s yes I voted for Trump, but, the chaos he is causing in not my fault, it is the Democrats fault for having a bad message. Mr. Howard, telling the truth about Trump and the Republican Project 2025 agenda is not a bad message. Harris, Biden, Obama and the Democrats all warned America what would happen if Trump was reelected. But, Trump voters like you ignored the warning. Now, you and your fellow Trump/Republican voters own this Trump problem.
Long before Trump got into politics, the Republicans were well known for their “yeah, we caused the problem, but, it’s not our fault, it is everyone else’s fault.” In this case, it is the Trump voters who put Trump and the Republican party over country, not the Democrats. Nice try Mr. Howard.

Mr. Olbert,
Where are the bike and bus lanes in San Mateo County (or San Carlos) that help us to:
- improve educational outcomes
- grow more independent kids
- grow physically stronger kids
- grow mentally strong kids
- improve physical and mental health for seniors
- reduce CO2 emissions by switching modes
- reduce congestion by switching modes
- reduce transportation and housing cost for
All these goodies and many, many more have been written down and promised in many expensive plans - paid for by our bicycle funding - but never made it into action.
If Democrats can't even follow a few simple plans in the Bay Area or California for that matter, why would a national voter think a politician from California is a good choice?
In a two party system and against a convicted felon and friend of Epstein and someone connected to the Russian Mob since the 90s, the Democrats couldn't make their case of being the better choice. That is a problem for sure.
PS.: Locally, we will always have Rob, Adam, Nicole, Danielle, Lisa to point to. While promising "Equity" and bringing ethics back to the council they schemed to take away lifechanging bike lanes from single mothers and their children so an accused "slumlord" can store her private cars on public property or a former Mayor can sell her sugar cakes from the street.
That is a character dilemma hard to overlook.
Hilarious. Today must be the day revisionist history LTEs are published. Here we have Mr. Oberg pushing more Democrat talking point nonsense which nobody takes seriously. Nice try, Mr. Oberg. There is no Trump problem. Except for those who hate Trump more than they love America. Meanwhile, the Golden Age of America rolls on as the Trump train makes America great again, again. BTW, ever notice how Dems blame Republicans for the things Dems are guilty of?
Like what, Terence Yee?
