Editor,

After reading a great deal of coverage on Medicare affairs in Washington, I wanted to share my own experience with Medicare. Finding a Medicare health insurance plan and the right doctor is always stressful. However, the Medicare Web site http://www.medicare.gov makes comparing plans and finding a doctor as simple as a click of the mouse. The Web site features links to side-by-side Medicare plan comparisons as well as their Participating Physicians Directory. Through this directory I was able to search for doctors in the area based on a variety of characteristics including proximity, hospital affiliation and foreign language. This Web site was extraordinarily helpful and easy to use. I applaud Medicare for their quality services.
