Residing in San Francisco while working from Millbrae's El Camino Real, I drive this road five days a week. I am amazed by the poor quality and protracted duration of the resurfacing work currently in progress.
I hope that Caltrans saved enough money from a low-ball bid to pay for the lawsuits that will surely result from people tripping on the manholes that protrude from the new surface. Perhaps if we wait until someone rolls an ankle on the one-inch lip between the concrete parking lane and the asphalt roadway and falls into oncoming traffic, those responsible for this debacle will correct it, free of charge.
Better yet, let's have them resurface it again; promptly and correctly. They did it wrong and they knew it, now let's have them just re-do it!
