Tyrone F. Robinson, born Dec. 18, 1948, in Ferriday, Louisiana, died at his home in San Mateo, California, June 10, 2018. He moved to San Mateo at age 8 and resided there until his passing. Tyrone is survived by his wife Cathy; daughter Tina; brothers Wayne Robinson, Alex Melancon and Vernon Melancon; and grandson Kai Jacob Robinson.
Tyrone attended San Mateo High School where he was an established cross country runner. After graduation, he worked for the California Water Service Company. He then served our country in the U.S. Army. Upon his return, he resumed his career with the California Water Service Company as a meter reader, working his way up to district manager of the San Francisco Peninsula until his retirement.
Tyrone was very active in his church, playing his signature congas in the church choir, on staff as the facilities manager and he also played in several golf tournaments to support the Pilgrim Organization Inc. Scholarship Fund.
