Ronald “Dean” Harman passed away after an extended illness. He is survived by his wife, Lynn Harman of Hillsborough, CA; children Jo Blaugrund (David) and Dena Harman; nine grandchildren along with six great-grandchildren; and stepchildren Katherine Meid, Elizabeth Burdick (Brian), and Christopher Meid (Ivanna). His son, Kerry Harman of W. Carrollton, OH, predeceased him.

Dean grew up in W. Manchester, OH, and served two years in the 3rd Army Southeastern Signal School in Augusta, GA. He worked at Western Electric and N. American Aviation before earning his BEE from Ohio State University. He spent 17 years at IBM in various roles, including work on the Manned Orbiting Laboratory (MOL) before its cancellation. He lived in Endwell, NY; Thousand Oaks, CA; San Jose, CA; and Boulder, CO.
