Rita Azzopardi, born in Malta June 9, 1929, died Thursday, May 17, 2018.
As a survivor of World War II when just a young child, Rita always shared her knowledge of history. She immigrated to the United States in the 1950s to join her late husband Charlie where they settled down in Millbrae.
A hardworking individual in the plastic and beverage industry, Rita worked many years at Seagram’s Seven. Rita was a devoted mother and fan of her two sons academic and sporting events. Rita’s love for gardening was well known. She always loved sharing gardening tips with her loved ones.
Rita was a wonderful mother to sons: Ron (Katie) and Rick (Lisa). Rita was the proud grandmother to Chantz, Allie (Hause) Max, Matthew and Lawrence. Great-grandmother of Chloe, Treysen, Devin and Charlie.
A Memorial Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 29, at St. Gregory Catholic Church, 28th Avenue and Hacienda Street, San Mateo, CA. Inurnment at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Colma, CA.
