Patricia Josephine O’Neill died peacefully Feb. 9, 2018, in Daly City. Age 89.
Mother of Dermot O’Neill (Tiffany) of Bloomfield, New Jersey, Terence O’Neill of Pacifica, Barry O’Neill (Nanci) of Hualtulco, Oaxaca, Mexico, Margaret O’Neill of Sacramento, and Kathleen O’Neill of Salem, Oregon. Grandmother of Haley, Elizabeth, Megan, Emma, Ronan, Ethan and Eoin. Patricia was born the 13th of 14 children on St. Patrick’s Day 1928 in Carrick-on-Shannon, County Leitrim, Ireland.
She married William O’Neill in San Francisco in 1963. The O’Neills moved to Pacifica in 1965, where they raised five children. Patricia worked for United Airlines until her marriage and later at Seton Medical Center. She was a devout Catholic and an active member of several Peninsula parishes throughout her life. Patricia is preceded in death by her husband and siblings. Family and friends may visit 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14 with a Rosary at 7 p.m. at Chapel of the Highlands in Millbrae. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Dunstan’s Catholic Church in Millbrae. Interment will be at Golden Gate National Cemetery in San Bruno.
