Evert “Bud” Harden, resident of Menlo Park, California, born Feb. 12, 1928, died June 1, 2015, from pneumonia as a complication of his long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Born in Arkansas, Bud migrated to California with his farming family, in the early 1930s. A veteran of World War II, he served in the Navy, in the Pacific theater. After the Navy, he spent 35 years as a sheet metal worker in the Bay Area.
Bud is survived by his wife of 57 years, Donna, their four children, eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
