Donald "Greg" Miller (truly loved) – devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend and U.S. Army veteran, passed away on March 2, 2017, surrounded by family at his home in Reno, Nevada.
Greg was born on October 23, 1947, in Bremerton, WA, to the late Donald J. Miller and Mary Lee Braicks and is survived by his wife, Linda, of 35 years; daughter, Nicole Hawthorne (Kenny and granddaughter Sophia); son, Austin Miller; brother, Chris Miller (Terry); and three sisters, Stephanie Stefanelli (Hal), Jane Sheely (Everett) and Marya Kucharski (Bill), as well as many nieces, nephews, and numerous other relatives and friends across the country.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Greg’s life, with all services to be held at Our Lady of the Pillar Catholic Church, 400 Church Street, Half Moon Bay, CA 94019. Visitation, followed by a Rosary service at 7 pm, will be held on Monday, March 13th, from 5 to 9 pm. Funeral Mass will be held on March 14th, at 11:00 am.
Memorial donations may be made to Peninsula Vet Center (directly supports local veterans and family members), 345 Middlefield Road, Building 1, Menlo Park, CA 94025; Circle of Life Community Hospice, 1575 Delucchi Lane, Suite 214, Reno, NV 89502; or to your charity of choice.
Greg touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He died as he lived – with love, grace and peace.
