Bruce W. Gledhill, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away on December 22, 2024, in Folsom, California. He was 87 years old. Born on November 10, 1937, in San Francisco, Bruce graduated from Washington High School before earning his degree from College of the Pacific. A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Bruce carried the values of service and dedication throughout his life. Bruce built a successful career as a businessman and business owner in the envelope industry. For over 50 years, he made his home in San Mateo, where he was deeply rooted in the community and created countless cherished memories with family and friends. Bruce’s life was filled with joy and adventure. He loved waterskiing on Lake Tahoe, golfing at the Olympic Club, playing dominoes with friends, singing and dancing with enthusiasm, and hosting lively tailgate parties at San Francisco 49er games. Those who knew him remember him as outgoing, loving, fun, thoughtful, generous, and fiercely loyal—a man who brought light and laughter to every gathering.Bruce is survived by Joan, his devoted wife of 65 years; his son Jeff (Jeanne); his daughter Laura McGarry (Tim); grandchildren Katie, Jack, Rachel, Kimberly, and Andrew; and great-grandchildren Avery and Beau. His legacy lives on through the love he shared with his family, who were his pride and joy. In honor of Bruce’s memory, the family invites you to share your remembrances on his Alzheimer’s Association tribute page (alz.org/tributes). Contributions in his name are also welcomed to support this meaningful cause. Bruce will be remembered for the love he shared so freely and the vibrant life he lived.
