Audrey Dent, age 90, died peacefully at her home in Millbrae Sept. 12, 2018, surrounded by family members.
Audrey Claire Menezes was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, on Aug. 12, 1928, to Joseph and Mary Menezes. Audrey traveled to San Francisco at the age of 19, and it was in San Francisco that she met her beloved Don Dent. They enjoyed an active retirement together riding a tandem bicycle, various trips, exercise classes and daily walks. Together they raised six daughters, enjoyed 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Her strong faith in God gave her guidance throughout her life. Audrey is survived by her husband of 67 years, Donald G. Dent.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Mission Hospice. “They are forever grateful to Sela Ikahihifo, our caregiver. Sela’s gentle and kind manner has left a lasting impression on our family.”
Family and friends are invited to St. Dunstan’s Church in Millbrae, Saturday, Sept. 29, for a rosary at 10:40 a.m. and a memorial mass at 11 a.m. Following will be a Celebration of Life in the David J. Chetcuti Community Room at the Millbrae Public Library, 450 Poplar Ave.
