BOULDER CREEK, Calif. -- Two waiters at a Mexican restaurant are accused of serving up cocaine and marijuana to customers who signaled their interest by ordering chicken nachos.
Gabriel Mendez, 36, of Boulder Creek, and Magdaleno Mendez, 32, of Soquel, were arrested Thursday on suspicion of selling drugs while on the job at Adelitas Mexican Restaurant.
Money would be put in a napkin and given to one of the two waiters. The napkin would be returned to the customer filled with marijuana.
Cocaine was delivered in tea bags. authorities said.
The investigation began after the sheriff's office received an anonymous tip that restaurant employees were dealing drugs.<
