A suspect is at large after robbing a gas station in South San Francisco Tuesday morning, police said.
At 7:30 a.m., a man pretended to make a purchase at the gas station in the area of South Linden Avenue and North Canal Street.

A suspect is at large after robbing a gas station in South San Francisco Tuesday morning, police said.
At 7:30 a.m., a man pretended to make a purchase at the gas station in the area of South Linden Avenue and North Canal Street.
When the clerk opened the cash register, the man reached across the counter, pushed the clerk’s arm away and grabbed cash from the register before fleeing. The attendant was not injured in the incident.
The suspect is described as a black man in his 20s or 30s, standing about 6 feet tall with an average build. He has a goatee and fled in a silver pickup truck that looked like a 2000s model Chevrolet Silverado, police said.
Anyone with information about this incident has been asked to call South San Francisco police at (650) 877-8900 or the department’s anonymous tip line at (650) 952-2244. Anonymous tips can also be emailed to tips@ssf.net.
