Former San Bruno 4-H Club member and club president Isabelle Cialone was presented with the California State 4-H Diamond Clover Award at the California State 4-H Leadership Conference at UC Davis, where she was a program assistant.
The California 4-H Diamond Clover is the highest achievement for which a 4-H youth member can be recognized and is awarded to a few 4-H members each year. Awardees must complete at least 13 requirements and submit an essay on their contributions to the community.
“I was honored to accept this award as recognition of the years of dedication I have put into 4-H,” Cialone said in a press release. “This program has given me countless opportunities to develop lifelong skills, and I have made many connections throughout my time as a youth member. I can’t wait to come back and support the program as an adult volunteer.”
During her time in 4-H, from 2014 to 2023, Isabelle served as president, vice president, recording secretary, photographer and newsletter editor in the San Bruno club, organized numerous food drives and other community service activities, served as a county ambassador, and later a state ambassador, and was recording secretary for the San Mateo County 4-H Council. In 2023, Isabelle attended the National 4-H Conference as a California delegate and received the Harry Lund Memorial Scholarship from the San Mateo County 4-H Council. Cialone attends Georgetown University and is majoring in human sciences.
