Two women who stole 24 bottles of Tide detergent from a Target in July 2024 pleaded no contest to felony organized retail theft and misdemeanor retail theft, respectively, San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said.
Andrea Appleton, 32, was sentenced to 45 days in county jail for the felony charge, and Kayle Kunze, 39, was sentenced to two days in county jail for the misdemeanor.
A third member of the thieving trio, John Amos Gough Jr., was previously sentenced to six months in county jail for felony organized retail theft.
The three individuals, all San Francisco residents, were found by police last year with more than $1,000 worth of Target products stolen from two separate locations, the Bridgepointe Parkway Target in San Mateo and the Colma Target along Junipero Serra Boulevard.
