The San Bruno City Council approved the Lions Club's plans to build a new concessions stand in City Park Tuesday night, which will likely be used for fundraising.
Plans were made to construct a separate concession stand near the existing one, but they were scrapped to build a single larger stand and possibly buy equipment to make higher-priced coffee drinks.
The City Council also approved the Rotary Club's proposed installation of a four-sided, $25,000 clock tower on Jenevein and San Mateo avenues.
Rotary would have to maintain the clock, and it has already raised the money to buy it, said City Clerk Ed Simon.
