Authorities on the scene where two adults and two children were found dead on the 4100 block of Alameda de las Pulgas.
A welfare check Monday morning at a home in San Mateo's Sugarloaf neighborhood prompted an investigation which led to the discovery of a man, woman and two children who were dead, authorities said.
Police said the incident is isolated and that there is no danger to the public. The call for a welfare check came about 9:15 a.m. at a home in the 4100 block of Alameda de las Pulgas, according to San Mateo police.
Authorities started the death investigation at about 10:40 a.m. The 4100 block of Alameda de las Pulgas is closed to traffic during the investigation, police said.
