A Redwood City man was arrested on suspicion of DUI after a head-on collision Saturday morning in South San Francisco, police said Sunday.
Officers responded at 6:09 a.m. to the 2300 block of Westborough Boulevard where 21-year-old Esteban Figueroa allegedly admitted to being a driver involved in the collision.
During the investigation, officers suspected Figueroa was driving under the influence because he allegedly showed signs of impairment.
Figueroa allegedly failed field sobriety tests. He was arrested and taken to the county jail on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
Police allege Figueroa was driving a 2007 Infinity east in the westbound lanes of Westborough Boulevard when the collision occurred.
Police said two people in the other vehicle were injured and taken to a hospital for treatment.
Anyone with information about the collision is asked to call the South San Francisco Police Department at (650) 877-8900.
